Assistive Technology Services

For people with disabilities looking for access to and information about computer and software technologies, Employment Resources, Inc. provides practical and creative solutions. Our assistive technology expert, Phil Goodman, is a licensed Occupational Therapist. Occupational Therapy plays an integral part in many assistive technology services.

Using creativity, new technology, and practical experience, ERI has provided individualized assistive technology consultation and training services to hundreds of individuals with disabilities.

Where are Services Provided?

In the Community
Most services are provided at home, work or school. We prefer to work with people in the places they live, work, and/or learn to gain a better understanding of environment and accommodations necessary.

Computer/Assistive Technology Lab
Many times, assessments and specialized training may be necessary in the areas of workstation accessibility, ergonomics, or computer/software skill development. ERI's Computer/Assistive Technology Lab is well equipped to serve our customers. This multi-station computer lab provides a comprehensive environment with the latest technology to assess needs, create solutions or build skills.

Learn about Accessible Resources
Accessibility software programs for people with low/no vision or other sensory disabilities, mobility impairments, learning disabilities, and/or other barriers are available for demonstration, general use and training purposes. A variety of alternative input hardware devices are also available for use in training or demonstration.
